Oregon Farmers' Market in April

The weather is still bad in Oregon-cold and rainy most of the time. Apparently, though, winter greens love this weather and the Farmers’ Market looks gorgeous–green and fresh. You can find different types of kale, chard, salad mixes, collards, etc. there.

Rhubarb is also in season now. If you've never tried it, you definitely should. It is a great plant that can be used to cook many different meals. Being a little bit sour, it can be cooked in desserts, sauces, drinks, pies, salads, with meat, and in many other dishes.

If you happen to be in Oregon, now is a great time to explore the Farmers’ Markets in spite of the weather. Dress warm and go out there. I am sure you will enjoy it.
